This actually came out on cassette a few months ago, but we were lucky enough to be sent the digital promo and speaking as an already established fan of DOLDREY, I think this EP is absolutely terrific! Hailing from Singapore, DOLDREY play this disgusting blend of death metal and crust punk that I find so brilliant to listen to. Their riffs are like a rusted knife being twisted in your back, and the atmosphere is so grimy and repulsive that I just can’t get enough. Their past material has been very solid as well, but this EP just smokes. It’s every bit ferocious as it is controlled, with that patented maniacal crust punk energy being reigned in across the 5 tracks. One thing I need to point out is the drumming. There’s this ride part in “Only Death is Eternal” that makes my heart race and there’s so many other points like that on this EP. If the riffs aren’t doing it for you, the drumming certainly will – as if anyone could dislike DOLDREY riffs! If you like death metal with some punk flavor, try your best to track this down and feel the noise.
