Hemotoxin - When Time Becomes Loss (2024)

4

Incredibly short, incredibly awesome. That’s it, that’s my review in 4 words. Think of Symbolic -era Death but in 2024, with more divebombs and a bit more technical thrash influence in the sound – that’s this HEMOTOXIN release in a nutshell. Coming in at 29 minutes, it busts down the door, kicks your ass, and flees from the scene. The most notable thing about this album aside from the amazing quality of music is how much of an improvement on their last offering, 2020’s Restructure the Molded Mind, an album plagued by poor songwriting masked with great lead guitar work. This album may be short, but it’s cohesive, structured, and very, very memorable. If you like the sort of proggy/techy death metal sound of the mid-90s, you won’t want to miss out on this one.
