I have been waiting for this release for what seems like ages, and man oh man, did TAROT deliver. I’m a massive fan of their 2016 record Reflections, so having to wait 8 years for a new album has definitely been a test of patience for me, but as I’ve found out, it’s been well-worth it. Packed with their signature whimsical hard rock-laden sound, TAROT inject brilliant melodies into fantastical songs and even though the more nasally vocal sound is gone, the band feels just as fresh and exciting as the day I first heard Reflections. Surprisingly, TAROT exercise some amazing long-form songwriting on this album as well, with each longer track never feeling stale due to a double serving of twin guitar harmonies, haunting vocals, and stellar groovy rhythm work. Truly, I cannot say enough good things about this album – listen to it immediately!
FAVORITE TRACKS: “Glimpse of the Dawn,” “The Vagabond's Return,” “Heavy Weighs the Crown”
